Carnival Week

Each year in August, Wells is host to it's very own Carnival Week.

The traditional summer Carnival is fun and exciting for locals and visitors alike. A week of family entertainment and events leading up to the famous Carnival Day procession around the town on the final day.

Events include:

Sand-castle competitions

Town crier competition

Gillying on the quay

Crowning of the Carnival Queen

Carnival Queen Dance

Carboot Sales

This year the carnival week will be held from Saturday 2nd - Sunday 10th August 2008.
